Virginia E. Conklin

Virginia E. Conklin, age 92, of Fairborn, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021.  She was born May 30, 1928 in Sabina, Ohio, the daughter of the late John and Grace (Martin) McCann.  Virginia graduated from Wilmington (OH) College with a BS in Education.  She taught elementary school for 21 years in Fairborn, New Carlisle, Attica, and Wilmington, Ohio.  She enjoyed taking care of her fruit orchard, flower garden, and farm.  Virginia liked traveling with her husband and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert Conklin; sisters, Mary, Anna Bess, Mable Jean; and brother, Willard.  She is survived by her son, Carl (Barbara) Conklin; daughter, Jill (Kim) Bradford; two granddaughters, Amanda (James) Kempf, Amy (Ryan) Habig; great-granddaughter, Lillian Habig; and great-grandson, Dean Habig.  Private services will be held by the family under the care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home.  Virginia will be buried at Byron Cemetery next to her beloved husband.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made out to Ohio’s Hospice, Alzheimer’s Association, or Feed the Hungry.
