Heather R. (Mcknight) (Evans) Bates

Heather R. (McKnight) (Evans) Bates, age 45 of Fairborn passed away December 8, 2021.  She was born November 9, 1976 in Dayton, the daughter of Ronald and Sharon (Adams) McKnight.  Heather enjoyed traveling, baseball, and especially spending time with her daughter, Blaire.  She was a RN and used her skills to help many, many people.  Heather was an advocate for Pink Ribbon Girls, who supported her through her own journey.  She is preceded in death by her father; and infant niece, Mercedes.  Heather is survived by her husband, David Bates; daughter, Blaire Evans; mother, Sharon McKnight (Brent); sister, Lisa McKnight (John); faithful dog, Juno; Pink Ribbon sister, Teresa McKnight; as well as extended family.   A funeral will be held on Wednesday December 15, 2021 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
