William John Adams, age 84 of Fairborn, passed away Friday October 21, 2022 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born April 16, 1938 in Jochin, West Virginia, the son of the late Emory and Emigean (Spangler) Adams.
William was employed by the City of Fairborn, retiring in 1992 after over 34 years of service. He was a longtime member of the Ol’ Fashun Rod & Gun Club and the Faith Hill Church of God. William loved his savior Jesus Christ, his family, and hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Elijah Adams and Henry “Bubby” Adams; and his son, Rickey Adams. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Ada Adams; children, Barbara (Jim) Shell, Rick (Rhonda) Hunter, Mike (Renee) Adams, Lisa Pittman; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Adams; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and other extended family.
A funeral service will be held Thursday October 27, 2022 at 12:30 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Steve Wagoner officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Fairfield Cemetery, Fairborn.
