Willa D. Kissell

Willa D. Kissell, age 93 of Medway, passed away February 16, 2022 at Springfield Regional Hospital.  She was born February 8, 1929 in eastern Kentucky, the daughter of the late Woods and Verna (Patton) Martin.

Willa was employed as an editor in civil service at Wright-Patterson AFB, retiring in 1979.  She was a member of the West Enon Church of God.  Willa was an avid joke teller and will be remembered with a smile by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Imogene Cole.  Survivors include two children, Sharon (Robert Katkowsky) Campbell, Scott Kissell, grandson, Quinn Kissell; a sister, Artie (Jim) Smallidge; a brother, Lowell “Buck” Martin; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family; as well as her cat and her constant companion, Pepper.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 5, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Earl Litman officiating.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
