Wayne A. Johnson

Wayne A. Johnson, age 72 of Fairborn, passed away Sunday April 6, 2025 at the Soin Medical Center. He was born August 20, 1952 in Dayton, the son of the late Amos and Elsie (Green) Johnson.

Throughout his life, he was cherished for his ability to make others feel welcome and valued and his kindness was shown in the thoughtful ways he engaged with everyone around him. Wayne’s love for his family was the foundation of his life and he held a deep appreciation for the bonds that connect us.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Lillian in 2010; two brothers, Bob and Don; and a sister, Brenda. Survivors include two children, Brian Johnson (Jamie Evans) of Brookville, Amanda Johnson of Fairborn; grandchildren, Gabriel, Michael, Maddison, Morgann, Leevi; brothers-in-law, Randy (Rita) Byrd of Tennessee, Jeff (Karen) Byrd of Fairborn; sisters-in-law, Lynetta (Dwight) Howard of Tennessee, Nina (Jim) Beverly of Fairborn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A graveside service will be held on Monday April 14, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. at the Byron Cemetery, 3230 Trebein Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Glen Allen Henderson officiating.
