Wanda Mae Bingham, age 85 of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday December 22, 2021. She was born October 25, 1936 in Harlan, KY, the daughter of the late James Robert Garfield and Minnie Hanna (Wells) Smith.
Wanda was a supportive Air Force wife who raised a family and kept everything in order while living overseas for many years. Following relocating back to this area she was employed and retired from General Motors and was a longtime member of Berean Baptist Temple.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank in 2013; a son, Frank Jr. in 2019; and siblings. Survivors include two children, Michael (Barbara) Bingham of Georgia, Ursula Smart (Michael) of Huber Heights; six grandchildren, Kelly, Chad, Frank III, Austin III, Autumn, Ashley; nine great-grandchildren, Avalon, Jeremy Jr., Kendall, Arabella, Hyder, C.J., Jagger, Jace, Jennesis; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 29, 2021 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Joe Hofmann officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at her family mausoleum at Byron Cemetery.
