Vivian L. Owsley

Vivian L. Owsley, age 84 of New Carlisle passed away December 15, 2023.  She was born June 25, 1938 in Lowmansville, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Ora and Thelma (Dixon) Griffith.  Vivian was a longtime florist; and enjoyed crocheting, line dancing, karaoke, and attending all her grandchildren’s activities.  She was a 50 year member and past Deputy Grand Matron with the Eastern Star Aero Chapter #536 Fairborn.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby; grandson, T.J. Owsley; and two siblings, Vincle Griffith, Irene Fairchild. Vivian is survived by her three children, Terry (Julie) Owsley, Debra (Kevin) Spellman, Jamison (Sibyl) Owsley; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as extended family.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 20, 2023 at 12 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor James Clayton officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the Eastern Star service at 11:45 A.M.  Vivian will be buried next to her husband at Byron Cemetery.
