Virginia Jones

Virginia Jones, known as Grandma to everyone, age 85 of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday April 11, 2018.  She was born November 2, 1932 in Hazard, KY, the daughter of the late Herman and Cally (Haney) Miller.  Virginia was employed as a supervisor with Pitsenbarger Dining Hall WPAFB, retiring after 40 years.  She loved keeping a perfect home and a stunning yard.  She also enjoyed creating beautiful floral arrangements.  In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by three daughters, Marian Sue Jones-Pebley, Charlotte Joanna Jones-Williams, and Pamela Jean Jones-Steplowski; a granddaughter, Melissa Brantley-Williams; two sisters, Mig Mullins, Ruth Warner; and a daughter-in-law, Debbie Jones.  She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Alonzo; a son, Owen Daniel Jones; two daughters, Diane (Tim) Peters of Beavercreek, Sabrina (Jeff) Jones of Fairborn; 9 grandchildren, Tracey Hall, John Jones, Mandy Shipley, Maggie Radford, Kelly Jones, Casey (Jeremiah) Setser, Jessica Lawson, Tomilyn Radford, Michael (Jennifer) Williams; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Maxine Knott; a brother, Joe Miller; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.  A funeral service will be held on Monday April 16, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Marshall Butcher officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service.  Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery.
