Usn Jocs David E. (Ret.) Nixon

US Navy (Ret.) JOCS David E. Nixon, age 79 of Fairborn, passed away Saturday October 20, 2018.  He was born January 8, 1939 in Bowling Green, Ohio, the son of the late Harry and Miriam (Gosnell) Nixon.  David enjoyed photography, writing, and traveling.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn.  David is survived by three sons, Brian (Amanda) Nixon, Brent Nixon, Bryce (Trisha) Nixon; two grandsons, Caleb and Alexander; three sisters, Nancy Sprague, Marilyn Frye, Janet Bachman; as well as other extended family.  A funeral service will be held on Monday October 29, 2018 at 11:30 AM at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor David Thomasson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until the time of service.  Burial will follow with military honors at Dayton National Cemetery.
