Usaf Tsgt. (Ret.) Charles H. “Chuck” Darnell

USAF TSgt. (Ret.) Charles H. “Chuck” Darnell, age 85, of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021. He was born March 3, 1936 in Aurora, Indiana; the son of the late Audray and Elsie (Johnston) Hale. Charles proudly served in the United States Air Force for 23 years from 1953 until 1976 during Vietnam and Korea. Charles is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Violet M. Darnell; son, Steve Darnell; brothers, Jerry Darnell and Charlie Darnell; and granddaughter, Haley Darnell. He is survived by his children, Chuck, Linda, Larry (Lynda), and David (Dee) Darnell; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn, OH 45324.
