Usaf Msgt. (Ret.) Timothy K. Cook

USAF MSgt. (Ret.) Timothy K. Cook, age 75 of Fairborn passed away Friday February 9, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born May 30, 1948 in Malone, New York, the son of Keith and Mary “Gen” (Shea) Cook.  Tim served his country in the U.S. Air Force and followed with employment at Wright-Patterson AFB, retiring after 47 years of combined service.  He was a Ham Radio Operator “NZ8J”; enjoyed car racing, sports, camping and spending time with family.  In addition to his father he is preceded in death by daughter, Tracy Cook; mother and father-in-law, Gerald and Irene Jarvis.  Tim is survived by his loving wife of over 48 years, Cindy; son, Thad (Melanie) Cook; daughter, Melissa (Jason) Gebhart; five grandchildren, Branden (Ciara), Owen, Ashton, Ellianna, Madelyn; two sisters, Kathy (Reggie) Owen, Christy (Jeff) Waugh; brother, Keith Cook; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday February 15, 2024 at 7:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Sean Savage officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until the time of service.  Burial at Dayton National Cemetery will take place on Friday February 16, 2024 at 9:00 A.M.  If lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fairborn Little League (PO Box 255 Fairborn, OH 45324) in memory of Tim Cook -or- Dayton Amateur Radio Association (6619 Bellefontaine Rd Dayton, OH 45424) marked for Youth Activities in memory of Tim Cook NZ8J.
