Usaf Cmsgt. (Ret.) Clarence Dale Green

USAF CMSgt. (Ret.) Clarence Dale Green, age 93 of Fairborn, passed away Sunday February 13, 2022 at the Dayspring of Miami Valley.  He was born August 21, 1928 in Walshville, Illinois, the son of the late Elza Thomas and Grace Eudora (Barlow) Green.

Dale served his country in the US Air Force as an electromagnetics engineer, retiring in 1974 at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant; and followed with employment in civil service at Wright-Patterson AFB, retiring for a second time after nearly 50 years of combined federal service.  He was a longtime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fairborn.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Barbara; and an infant daughter, Cheryl Denise; and six siblings as he was the last surviving.  Survivors include four children, Cynthia (Henry) Alviani, Tammara (Damian) Liberty, Kevin Green (fiancé, Pat Woodworth), Kelly Green; nine grandchildren, Carl, Rebekah, Steven, Timothy, Brittany, Logan, Timothy, Erika, and Alexandra; ten great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

The family will receive friends on Friday February 18, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday February 19, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1240 S. Maple Ave., Fairborn, Rev. Edward L. England officiating.  The family will also receive friends from 9:30 until the time of service at the church.  Burial with military honors will follow at the Forest Hills Memory Gardens, Tipp City.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran School.
