Usaf Tsgt. Grover (Ret.) Wicks

Grover Wicks, age 69, of Fairborn, Ohio, died peacefully on October 19, 2018 at Heartland of Beavercreek.  Grover was born on August 21, 1949 in Beckley, WV to Boyd and Violet Wicks. In 1972, he joined the United States Air Force and served for over 20 years, retiring with the rank of Tech Sergeant as an Information Management Technician; and followed with employment as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service, retiring after 30 years of combined service.   For the past couple years, he attended Faircreek Church in Fairborn, Ohio.  He is survived by five children.  Services will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 10:00AM at Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Greg Trout officiating.  A visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service.  Burial with Military Funeral Honors will be following at Dayton National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heartland of Beavercreek.
