Usaf Msgt. Donald “Don” Lee (Ret.) Trout

USAF MSgt. (ret.) Donald “Don” Lee Trout, age 85 of Huber Heights, passed away May 2, 2018.  He was born April 17, 1933, the son of the late Elmer and Lillian (Todd) Trout.  Don served his country in the U.S. Air Force, retiring at the rank of MSgt; he then followed with employment at Huber Heights City Schools, retiring after 40 years of combined service.  Don was a member of the VFW Post 3283, American Legion Post 200, and the Loyal Order of the Moose 1068.  He also enjoyed fishing and boating.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Karoline; and a brother, William Trout.  Don is survived by two daughters, Sally (Ken) Jumper, Anna Van Zant; a granddaughter, Amber (Ryan) Ireland; and three great-grandchildren, Kylie Fullerton, Alex Fullerton, Karolina Fullerton.  A funeral service will be held on Friday May 11, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Tim Walden officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Burial with military honors will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
