USAF Lt. Col. (ret.) Mark L. Stout, age 67 of Fairborn, passed away June 2, 2018 after a brief illness. He was born June 26, 1950 in Bellefontaine, the son of James and Dorothy (Bosart) Stout. Mark joined the Ohio Air National Guard in 1972 and also began teaching English at Graham High School. After 10 years of teaching Mark decided to go to law school, graduating from both Bowling Green State University and the University of Dayton, he was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1987. Mark began working full time at the Air National Guard base in Springfield, OH, serving as Director of Personnel, Logistics Officer, and Chief of Maintenance, in 1992 was appointed Commander of the 269th Combat Communication Squadron. Then followed with employment with TAC Enterprises before finally retiring in 2016. Mark enjoyed antiquing, gardening and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his father, Jim Stout. Mark is survived by his wife, Marion (Bissonnette) Stout and his beloved daughter Hannah Brown and her husband Dax Brown, his mother Dorothy Stout and his sister Shari Stout. A funeral service will be held on Thursday June 7, 2018 at 7:00 PM at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Chaplain Jon Trainer officiating. The family will receive friend from 4:00 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
