Stephen Eugiene Cruea went to meet his Lord and his daughter, Sherill Marie Cruea at heavens gates at 1:25am on January 27, 2024.
He was a 1967 graduate of Tecumseh High School and was an active member of the FFA at that time. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army and was with the M123 signal cord. When he returned to the U.S. he worked for American Ag and as an Army Airforce exchange driver, retiring after 35 years of service, proudly driving 220 million miles with no accidents. He enjoyed fishing, camping, riding motorcycles, horseback riding and spending time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Clara; father, Floyd Cruea, and daughter, Sherill Marie Cruea. Stephen is survived by his wife and best friend of 44 beautiful years together, Tonie; loving son, Stephen Joseph Wayne Cruea (Kelsey), daughter, Stephanie; grandsons, Preston, Carter, Cruea, Bailey Wheeler, and Christian McCune, two brothers-in-law, Robert (Linda) Marsh, Billy Jo Engle; sister-in-law Sharon Marsh, favorite niece Ashley Easterling because she was the only one that could call him grumpy ass and make him do what he needed to do; many nieces and nephews; dear friends Wilma Dean, Jessie Graves, Jackie Perry, Crystal and Bobbie Mellon, Dan and Jess Gentry and Dave and Karen Anderson. He loved and appreciated every Grey Rider and their wives.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral will be held on Thursday February 1, 2024, at 11:00 A.M., Jude Soriano officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial with military honors will be at Byron Cemetery.
