Spiros Makrides

Spiros Makrides, age 63 of Huber Heights, passed away Monday October 8, 2018.  He was born May 23, 1955 in Athens, Greece, the son of the late Petros and Konstantina Makrides.  Spiros enjoyed computers, photography, model trains, and bowling.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Pete and Tony.  He is survived by his wife, Irene, two children, Nick (Morgan) Makrides, Mae Nichole Makrides; beloved family dog, Lucy; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.  A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday October 12, 2018 from 6-7:45 PM at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where military honors will take place at 7:45 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary at www.oldfriendsseniordogs.com.  The Spiros's family would like to thank the phenomenal caregivers at Kettering Hospital, LifeCare Hospital, and The Oaks of Kettering for the loving care they provided during Spiros's lengthy illness.
