Sharon L. Smith

Sharon L. Smith, age 69 of Fairborn passed away July 28, 2018.  She was born November 12, 1948 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Miriam (Sodders) Wallen.  Sharon enjoyed fishing, golf, camping and was an avid Bengals, Browns, and NASCAR fan.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark A. Smith; two brothers, Kenny Lee Wallen, Rick Wallen; and son-in-law, Clarence Hamm.  She is survived by two daughters, Shawn Hamm, Stacy Green; five grandchildren, Shannon (Aaron) Daniels, Christopher (Caitlin) Burkett, Matthew Hamm, Olivia Morse, Brandon Green; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Gary (Karen) Sodders, Joseph (Lisa) Wallen; sister-in-law, Joyce Wallen; beloved cat, JoJo; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 4th, 2018 at 2:30 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
