Sequoyah T. "Corry" Williams

Sequoyah T. “Corry” Williams, age 40 of Fairborn, passed away November 2, 2020.  She was born January 20, 1980 in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Willie Summerlin and Gwendolyn Murray.  Corry was a Community Counselor with the State of Ohio Opportunities for Ohioans With Disabilities and Samaritan Behavioral Health Crisis Care as a part-time Counselor; was a member of SEIU 1199; and a Girl Scout Troop Leader.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching movies, traveling, helping others, and spending time with family.  Corry is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Leonard Cade and Margaret (Powell) Murray, paternal grandfather, Leo Summerlin, a sister, Tracy Summerlin; three uncles, William, Wayne, and Gehrig Murray.  She is survived by her husband, Ryan; son, Spencer; father, Willie Summerlin; mother, Gwendolyn Murray; seven siblings, Georgia Summerlin, Willie Summerlin, Jr., Marlo Jones, Michael Jones, Kashala Jones, Devon Jones, Sheyla (Chris) Clark; grandmother, Georgia Summerlin, God-Daughter Shanaye “Tia” Williamson, God-Son, Eric Butler, Jr., special nieces Nola Moulder and Cora Clark, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.  A funeral service will be held on Monday November 9, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Victory Church, 2443 Valle Greene Dr., Fairborn, Chaplain Tim West officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pink Ribbon Girls.  The family asks that you wear a mask if attending the above services.
