Samuel "Bop" C. Lewis

Samuel C. “Bop” Lewis, age 67, of Fairborn, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2021. Samuel was born on February 15, 1953 in Springfield, Ohio; the son of the late Ernest and Mary Katherine (Worrel) Lewis. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, John Lewis. Samuel is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Karen (Barnes) Lewis; daughters, Brittany Lewis and Courtney (Brett) Lewis; granddaughter, Samantha Lewis; sister, Kathy Chaney; brother, Bill (Judy) Lewis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Samuel worked as a photo specialist at Walgreens for over ten years. He was also a member of the Yellow Springs #421 Masonic Lodge as he served as a Master Mason of the 32nd Degree. In his free time, he loved to travel to his favorite place in the world, Gatlinburg, Tennessee with his girls. What he loved most was spending time with his loving family and a good cigar. A memorial service will be held at a later date under the care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
