Ruth E. Steele

Ruth E. Steele, age 76 of Fairborn, formerly of Columbus, OH, passed away Saturday May 14, 2022 at Shawnee Estates Senior Living in Xenia.  She was born July 3, 1945 in Cincinnati, the daughter of the late Victor Kermitt and Emily Jane (Davidson) Brickey.  Ruth was employed by the Columbus School District, retiring after 20 years of service.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Siebert in 1986; a son, Jonathan; and a brother, Frank Brickey.  Survivors include a daughter, Syvonna Gullion of Fairborn; grandchildren, Miranda, Christopher, Elizabeth, Alyssa; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary, Nella, Cora; and a brother, Victor Jr.; as well as other extended family and friends.

A funeral service will he held on Monday May 16, 2022 starting at 7:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Chris Gullion officiating.  A gathering of family and friends will be held two hours prior to the service from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.  A graveside service will be held on Tuesday May 17, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Franklin Hills Memorial Gardens, 5802 Elder Road, Columbus, Ohio, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
