Ruth E. Mitchell

Ruth E. Mitchell, age 65 of Fairborn passed away Saturday December 7, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born December 29, 1958 in Piqua, Ohio, the daughter of Ralph and Helen (Dillon) Riley.  Ruth was  longtime member of Rona Community Church, sang in the choir and was the church secretary.  She enjoyed music, cross stitching and playing card games.  Ruth sure lived life to the fullest, looking forward to each new day.  She is preceded in death by her father, Ralph Riley.  Ruth is survived by her loving husband, Phillip; son, Sean Mitchell; mother, Helen Riley; sister, Evelyn (John) Sims; niece, Becky Lilly; as well as cousins, extended family and friends.  A funeral service will be held on Monday December 16, 2024 at 11:30 A.M. at Rona Community Church, 1082 Rona Pkwy., Fairborn, Pastor Jim Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Rona Community Church Missions Fund in memory of Ruth.  She will be laid to rest at Byron Cemetery.
