Ronald S. Lightle

Ronald‎ Sherman‎ Lightle,‎ was born‎ on January‎ 28th,‎ 1941. He died‎ peacefully‎ at‎ home‎ with‎ family‎ Thursday October‎ 11,‎ 2018.‎ He‎ was‎ the‎ son‎ of‎ Theodore‎ and‎ Hazel‎ Lightle,‎ the‎ 10th‎ of‎ 11‎ siblings.‎ Ron‎ was employed‎ as‎ a‎ bookkeeper‎ at‎ a‎ grain‎ elevator‎ out‎ of‎ high‎ school and then‎ owned‎ a‎ barber/beauty‎ shop‎ in‎ Kettering,‎ OH,‎ in‎ the‎ late‎ 1960's‎ and‎ early‎ 1970's.‎ Ron‎ began‎ a‎ career‎ as‎ a‎ State‎ Farm‎ Insurance‎ agent‎ in 1974 until retirement in the mid 1990’s.  Ron‎ was‎ a‎ long‎ time‎ coach‎ and sponsor of Fairborn‎ Little‎ League,‎ a‎ member‎ of‎ Sertoma,‎ and‎ enjoyed‎ fishing‎ with‎ friends‎ and‎ family.‎ Ron‎ loved‎ spending‎ time‎ with‎ his‎ children‎ and‎ grandchildren.‎ He‎ is‎ survived‎ by‎ his‎ brother‎ Kenneth‎ Lightle,‎ FL;‎ his‎ former‎ wife‎ Cheryl‎ Lightle,‎ MN;‎ three‎ children‎ Brad,‎ Shelly,‎ and‎ Rob‎ Lightle;‎ 7‎ grandchildren‎ and‎ a‎ great-grandchild. A‎ public‎ visitation‎ will‎ be‎ held‎ Wednesday October‎ 17th,‎ 2018 from‎ 5-7 pm‎ at‎ Belton-‎ Stroup‎ Funeral‎ Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn.‎ In lieu of flowers, the‎ family‎ requests‎ memorial contributions‎ be‎ made‎ to‎ Dayton‎ Children's‎ Hospital.
