Robert H. Pettit

Robert H. Pettit, age 84 of Fairborn, passed away Tuesday May 22, 2018 at the Hospice of Dayton.  He was born June 30, 1933 in Morgan Co., Kentucky, the son of the late James and Icie (Lewis) Pettit.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sons, Vic Stidham, James Maxwell, Robin Maxwell; five brothers, Chester, Elbert, Eugene, Linvil, Charlie; and a sister, Goldie Race.  He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dosha Margaret Pettit; two daughters, Heather Hedges of Dayton, Brenda Watkins of Muncie, IN; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Eula Baldridge; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 29, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday May 30, 2018 at 10:30 A.M., Pastor Clarence Barnes officiating.  Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
