Robert J. "Bob" Keller

Robert J. “Bob” Keller, age 86 of Fairborn, passed away Friday December 15, 2017.   He was born January 23, 1931 in Ft. Wayne, IN, the son of the late James and Gladys (Boyer) Keller.  Bob served his country in the US Air Force and followed with employment in civil service at Wright-Patterson AFB as a procurement specialist, retiring after 39 years of combined federal service.  He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and helping his family.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Weaver.  Bob is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Geraldine; daughter, Janell Keller; son, James (Karen) Keller; 3 grandchildren, Brian (Sherry) Jenkins, Angela (Ryan) Dawes, Aaron (Tiffany) Jenkins; as well as many great-grandchildren and extended family.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of service.  Burial with military honors will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society- Greene Co., 187 Bellbrook Ave., Xenia, OH 45385.
