Rita M. Thompson

Rita M. Thompson, age 69 of Fairborn, passed away Friday August 16, 2024 at her residence.  She was born April 26, 1955 in Xenia, the daughter of the late Carson and Della (Conway) Williams.

Rita’s family was most important to her as a loving wife, mom, Mamaw, and great-Mamaw.  She will be missed by all those that knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by nine siblings.  Survivors include her husband of 52 years, David; three daughters, Christina Smith of Fairborn, Rebecca (Mark) Sellers of Fairborn, Angela (Jeff) Rehl of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Danielle, Robbie, Blake, Madison, Grayson, Ezra, and Wesley, and one on the way; two great-grandchildren, Bailey and Lucas; a brother, Ivan; two sisters, Floranne and Reva; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A funeral service will be held on Monday August 26, 2024 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Ken Majors officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
