Rissie A. Jenkins

Rissie A. Jenkins, age 81 of Fairborn, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday October 9, 2024 at the Hospice of Dayton.  She was born November 29, 1942 in Moon, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Lura and Pearlie (Doolin) Ison.

Rissie was employed as a nurse’s aide at Community Hospital in Springfield and was a member of Fairborn Enterprise Baptist Church where her husband pastored for over 30 years.  Her faith and her family were the two things she held most dear and the love she showed to those around her will remain a part of her legacy forever.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Pastor Bobby Jenkins in 2018; as well as siblings and extended family.  Survivors include five children, Ken Jenkins, Sandy (James) Conley, Sharon (James) Boggs, Kevin (Becky) Jenkins, Michelle (Scott) Crawford; 17 grandchildren, Ryan, Adam, Jessica, Katelyn “K.J.”, Melissa, Anna, Anthony, Jamie, Brittany, Justo, Alelah, Josh, Jacob, Ashley, P.J., Taveion, Elijah; 14 great-grandchildren; as well as siblings and other extended family.

A funeral service will be held on Monday October 14, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Rich Engle officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.
