Rex E. Willett, age 64, of Fairborn, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 12, 2020. Rex was born on December 2, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio; the son of the late Herbert E. and Lois J. (Blankenship) Willett. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Margaret Jaime. Rex is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debbie (Spicuzza) Willett; children, Monica (Jennifer) Mullins and Timothy Willett; grandchildren, Rian Woodward, Jr., Cayden Lewis, and Jordan Willett; siblings, Ed (Kathy) Willett, Sherry (Richard) Peyton, Sandy (Steve) Swartout, and Richard Willett; mother and father-in-law, John and Helen Spicuzza; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Rex proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years and followed with employment at Wright Patterson Air Force Base until retirement. During his time serving, Rex travelled to many countries including Japan, England, Philippines, and Korea. In his free time, he loved to play golf, practice darts as he was a member of a Dart League, and he was an avid computer technician. Rex could always be found tinkering with his many projects or even watching Netflix. What he loved most of all was spending time with his loving wife and family.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 10 to 12 PM at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn, OH. A service will follow at 12 PM with Jeff Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care.
