Fairborn

Randy Lee Laux, age 71 of Fairborn, OH, passed away unexpectedly on December 23, 2024, at his residence. Born on March 14, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Hilbert Harry and Mary Willadeene (Hapner) Laux. Randy lived a life marked by hard work, humor, and a profound love for his family.

For many years, Randy pursued a career as a truck driver for Benjamin Steel, a job he took seriously and relished each day. His passion for driving was evident, as he enjoyed the open road and the freedom that came with it. Beyond his profession, Randy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a fondness for watching old westerns and listening to country music, which resonated with his straightforward and genuine personality. In his younger years, he delighted in dancing to the “boogie woogie”, a reflection of his fun-loving spirit.

Family was at the heart of Randy's life. He expressed his love through laughter and quality time spent with those he cherished. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jim Greene. He is survived by his children, Jeffrey "Jeff" (Angela) Laux, Tracy (Richard) Morgan, Amanda Brooks, and Christina McLaughlin; His grandchildren, Joey, Joshua, Brittany, Devan, and David; along with his six great-grandchildren, were a source of great pride and joy for him. Randy is also remembered by his sisters, Diane Greene and Ruthann Laux.

Randy's impact on those around him will be felt for years to come. His humorous nature, love for his family, and sheer delight in the simple moments of life will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be truly missed.
