Phyllis B. Barr

Phyllis B. Barr, age 87 of Xenia, passed away Wednesday September 27, 2023.  She was born June 19, 1936 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Walter Burke and Lucille (Alexander) Closey.  Phyllis was a member of the Ohio and Greene County Pork Producers, and Greene County 4-H where she was a 4-H advisor.  Phyllis enjoyed crafting and spending time with her family.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and granddaughter Starr Amber Barr.  She is survived by four children, Dennis (Diana) Barr, Natalie (Nick) Pitstick, Wesley (Tammy) Barr, Lynette (Jeff) Hollingsworth; nine grandchildren, Corey Barr, Nicholas (Ellen) Pitstick, Angela (Adam) Weaver, Benjamin (Tara) Pitstick, Stephanie (Matt) Muntz, Sherri (Joe) Marsden, Brian (Andrea) Barr, Jason (Amanda) Hollingsworth, Joshua Hollingsworth; seventeen great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; three siblings, Bonnie Closey, Roxie Beason, Mike Closey; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.  A private service will be held by the family.  Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn.
