Paul A. Bastin

Paul A. Bastin, age 74, of Fairborn, passed away Monday June 7, 2021. He was born February 21, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio; the son of the late George Edward and Celora Pearl (Johnson) Bastin. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Dale Bastin. Paul is survived by his beloved wife 53 years, Sharon; daughter, Heather Bastin; grandson, Dakota; brother, Lowell (Eleanor) Bastin; mother-in-law, Marjorie Schori; his Arizona family; and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war. After serving, he worked at Chemineer as a welder. He was also a welding instructor for adult education and taught at the Greene County Career Center for many years. In his free time, he loved to show and sell his metal artwork, hunt, and fish. Paul was a member of the VFW Post #8312 in Beavercreek, Ohio. Paul was a simple, loving man who never met a stranger. A celebration of life will be held Friday June 18, 2021 at 12 PM at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn, OH 45324 with military honors rendered at the end of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dayton VA, 4100 W 3rd St, Dayton, OH 45428, in memory of Paul.
