Patty L. Slaven

Patty L. Slaven, age 80, of Fairborn, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021. She was born January 19, 1941 in Harlan, Kentucky; the daughter of the late Murphy and Nancy Ann (Wilson) Smith. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert L. Slaven, Sr.; daughter, Maxine Myers; son, Robert Slaven, Jr.; siblings, David Roark, Mary Cup, Daniel Long, Stella Surber, Nellie Blackwell, Martin Smith, Paul Smith, and Cora Bledsoe; and great-granddaughter, Raelynn. Patty is survived by her son, Jerry Slaven; daughters, Kimberly Bennington and Jennifer Slaven; grandchildren, Amber Nicole, Collins, Samantha Jo, Chelsey Ann, Merinda, Abygail, Dalton, Blake, Benjamin, Kyler, Jordan, Jamie, Jaron, Taylor, Heather, Chyanne, Brianna, Bobby, Alana, Casey, Elizabeth, Robert III, and Cody; great- grandchildren, Raelynn, Thomas, Keegan, Meadow, Kylie, Haven, Cameron, Nana, Colton, Gracie, Maddie, Sabrina, Sophia, Mary, and Jesse; and numerous extended family members and friends. Patty loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 12 PM at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn, OH 45324 with Pastor Greg Trout officiating. Family and friends may visit from 11 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery where Patty will be laid to rest next to her husband.
