Patricia A. "Shorty" Lunsford

Patricia A. “Shorty” Lunsford, age 81 of Fairborn passed away May 2, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born September 18, 1942 in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Earlywine) Huffman.  Shorty was a longtime member of the Byron Church, where she was involved with the Ladies Guild.  She enjoyed bowling and crocheting.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman; and brother, Alan Huffman.  Shorty is survived by her son, Darin (Sarah) Lunsford; three grandchildren that she adored, Alyssa, Kate, Luke; sister, Donna (Harold) Bosh; brother, Marvin (Caroll) Huffman; as well nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.  A visitation will be held on Thursday May 9, 2024 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd, Fairborn.  A funeral will be held on Friday May 10, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Byron Church, 3230 Trebein Rd., Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating.  Shorty will be laid to rest next to her husband at Byron Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church in her memory.
