Patricia A. “Pat” Koogler, age 83 of Fairborn, passed away Friday June 1, 2018 at the Hospice of Dayton. She was born September 16, 1934 in Phillipsburg, OH, the daughter of the late Harold E. and Emily Lucille (Pansing) Fasick. Pat was employed for many years as a nurse at Dr. Krause’s office in Fairborn. A longtime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, she served on the Altar Guild, as a teacher for VBS and Sunday school, the Christmas Basket ministry, and assisted in the school lunchroom. She was an avid card player, loved to fish, was a 35-year season ticket holder for UD Men’s basketball, and one of the original members of Operation Safety Net in the city of Fairborn. Pat loved her family and was very active in her grandchildren’s lives. She enjoyed traveling the world but her favorite spot was spending time at their cabin in the UP of Michigan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Fasick. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Bob; three children, Todd (Karen) Koogler, Chris (Mike) Richie, Tricia (Steve) Rake; six grandchildren, Todd (Jennifer) Koogler, Kara (Justin) Gooch, Whitney (Sam) McConnell, Chad Richie, Emily Rake, Claire Rake; five great-grandchildren, Todd, Colton, Callie, Samantha, Carlee; a brother, Ron Fasick; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 6, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. A funeral service will be held on Thursday June 7, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1240 S. Maple Ave., Fairborn, Rev. Keith Witte officiating. The family will also receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Fairfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association -or- Bethlehem Lutheran School.
