Pastor Bobby E. Jenkins

Pastor Bobby E. Jenkins, age 78 of Fairborn, went home to be with the Lord on Friday September 21, 2018.  He was born May 18, 1940 in West Liberty, KY, the son of the late John Ed and Virgie (Burchett) Jenkins.  Bobby was employed as a machine operator and a lifetime member of Ohio Operators and Engineers.  He served as Pastor of Fairborn Enterprise Baptist Church for over 30 years and was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Genevieve, Nanny Mae, Marvie; and two brothers, Roger and Henry.  He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rissie; five children, Ken Jenkins, Sandy (James) Conley, Sharon (James) Boggs, Kevin (Becky) Jenkins, Michelle (Scott) Crawford; 17 grandchildren, Ryan, Adam, Jessica, Katelyn, Melissa, Anna, Anthony, Jamie, Brittany, Justo, Alelah, Josh, Jacob, Ashley, P.J., Taveion, Elijah; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ella, Jenetta; four brothers, Joe, Raleigh, Ernest, Larry; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday September 25, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 26, 2018 at 12:30 P.M. at the Fairborn Enterprise Baptist Church, 1614 Stewart St., Fairborn, Pastor Richard Engle, Pastor Patrick Morris, and Associate Pastor James Conley officiating.  Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton -or- Fairborn Enterprise Baptist Church -or- the Wounded Warrior Project.
