Ora Wilson, age 78 of Xenia passed away August 28, 2022. He was born October 29, 1943 in West Liberty, Kentucky, the son of the late Cecil and Vergie (Kidd) Wilson. He was employed as a carpenter for most of his working career. Ora enjoyed fishing, playing pool, nature, traveling adventures, aviation and was an avid dirt track lover. He never met a stranger and received endless joy from good conversation and a friendly spirited debate. He thoroughly enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ora LOVED life! In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife; Patty (Fugett), seven siblings; Ruthie Phipps, Helen Warren, Cobern Wilson, Junior Wilson, Ralph Wilson, Glen Wilson, and Terry Wilson, special sister-in-law Sue Wilson and special brother-in-law Randy Joe Dickerson. Ora is survived by his very special friend; Patricia Williams, four children children; Pamela (Brian) Grant, Tammy (Danny) Ross, Greg Wilson (Stefanie Brooks), Michael (Jessica) Wilson; grandchildren, Amber Berry, Autumn (Troy) Blessing, Matthew Grant, Jonathan Grant, Katie-Rose Grant, Sydney Wilson, Madison Wilson, Dylan Wilson, Ethan Wilson, Lexi Brooks, Mikey Brooks, Lynixx Wilson, Maverick Allen; great-grandchildren, Ashylnn Berry, Camden Berry, Ellie Berry, Montana Blessing, Reid Blessing, Liam Bowen, siblings, Berl (Brenda) Wilson, Stanley (Elvona) Wilson, Gail (Mark) Umberger, Lois Dickerson, Jimmy (Lollie) Wilson, Randy (Sherry) Wilson, Debbie (Bruce) Bennett, Darlene (Gene) Swagger, Jeanie Allen, sister-in-law Pam (Wilder) Wilson, brother-in-law Donald Phipps and very special friends Ruby and Joe Clingman, Jerry (Karen) Hall and Connie Fugett; as well as numerous extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday September 2, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Art Gilliam officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or Hannah’s Treasure Chest in memory of Ora.
