Olene Hall, age 88 of Fairborn, formerly of Carlisle, OH and Leesburg, FL, passed away Saturday December 1, 2018 at her daughter’s residence in Wake Forest, NC. She was born January 26, 1930 in Viper, KY, the daughter of the late James and Laura (Branson) Cornett. Olene was a member of Northridge Freewill Baptist Church and she sang in in the gospel group, Rock of Ages Quartet for over 25 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was known for her great fudge. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bee in 2005; four brothers, Falgar Cornett, Gale (Rosie) Cornett, Forest (Mavis) Cornett, Harold (Shirley) Cornett; brother-in-law, Clayton Campbell; and a grandson, Zachary Hall. She is survived by four children, Harold (Pam) Hall, Doris (Jerry) Harris, Jane (Casey) Woods, Phyllis (Terry) Barlow; eight grandchildren, Brian (Sandy) Harris, Dana Hall, Laura Hall, Megan (Matt) Loesch, Seth (Brianne) Woods, Kaley (Kyle) Westbrook, Chelsea (Brandon) Mullings, Kaleb Barlow; seven great-grandchildren, Abby, Peyton, Kayla, Adam, Lizzy, Kane, Emerson; a sister, Eula Campbell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, and many friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday December 7, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the Northridge Free Will Baptist Church, 4800 Payne Ave., Dayton, Pastor Tim Hamilton officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn.
