Norma E. McDaniel, age 90 of Brookville, formerly of Fairborn, passed away Thursday July 5, 2018. She was born September 12, 1927 in Pana, Illinois, the daughter of the late Louis and Victoria (Duez) Zahradka. Norma retired from Sears, Roebuck and Co. where she was employed in customer service. She was a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Dayton where she served as pianist and organist; and she taught piano lessons for many years in her home. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas in 2006; three brothers; and a sister. She is survived by a daughter, Judy (Bobby) Gayheart of Clayton; a son, David (Judy) McDaniel of Boone, Iowa; six granddaughters, Angela (Darren), Julie, Terri (John), Krista, Kimberly, Kaylee; a grandson, Davy; three great-grandchildren, Katelyn (Grady), Joshua, Garrett; a great great-grandson, Andrew Jameson; two sisters, Vicki Fringer and Vivian Thomas, both of Illinois; as well as other extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 10, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Richard Springer officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Awana program at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1501 E. Third St., Dayton, OH 45403.
