Nancy Jo Peters

Nancy Jo Peters, age 87 and lifelong resident of Fairborn, passed away Saturday December 14, 2024 at the Ohio Masonic Home. She was born September 8, 1937 in Osborn, Ohio, the daughter of the late Fred and Ruby (Jacks) Cantrill.

Nancy was a proud graduate of Fairborn High School, Class of 1955, and she enjoyed serving on the reunion committees and keeping in touch with former classmates through the years. Following her schooling she was employed as a budget analyst in civil service at Wright-Patterson AFB, retiring in 1987 after 30 years of service. 

She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Aero Chapter #536; and her hobbies included quilting and crafting. Family was most important to Nancy and many of her fondest memories were those that were spent with family at the cottage at Indian Lake.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas S. Peters in 2004; and a son, Jack L. Clary in 2017. Survivors include a daughter, Jill (Steve) Patrick; daughter-in-law, Gina Clary of Fairborn; four grandchildren, Kelly (Jason Calderon) Patrick, Christopher (Johnna) Clary, Andrea (Leslee) Patrick, Logan (Erin) Clary; great-grandchildren, Caiden, Dominic, and Harper Calderon, Branson Patrick; special friends, Amber, Mike, Rick, and Patty, who the family would like to extend a special thank you for their assistance and loving care. 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday December 19, 2024 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Fairfield Cemetery.

 Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the National MS Society, the Fairborn Senior Center, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
