Mildred Flo Darby age 86 of Xenia, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 peacefully at her home. She was born October 1, 1935 in Williamson, West Virginia, the daughter of William Thomas Lafferty and Oma Lee (Martin). Mildred had a deep love for the Lord, life, traveling, cycling, laughing, spending time with family, as well as a true West Virginian passion for gospel music. In addition to her parents, Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Thomas Darby; a son, David Dewight Darby; brothers, William Lafferty; Colonel Ray Lafferty; Clinton Lafferty; Donnie Lafferty; sisters, Audrey Cline; Monica Harris; and Wanda Jo Ousley. Mildred is survived by children, Harold (Sandra) Darby; Rebecca (Shan) Genetin,April (Michael) Roark; ; grandchildren, Kristy (Jake) Delottle; Tamie (Mark) Crompton; Tracie (Adam) Hutchinson; Shawna (Tom) Hunter; Sarah (Chip) Philbeck; Matthew (Jessi) Darby; Dylan (Cody) Day; their mother Deborah Darby-Davis; Aaron Bearden; Brooklyn Bearden; Brandon Roark; Bradley Roark; great-grandchildren, Keenan, Averie, Jackson, Olivia, Maverick, Oakley, Weston, Tristen, Darby-Lynn, Branch, Ayelah; and siblings, Magdeline Harris, and Sue Harris. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Berean Baptist Temple, 2445 Trebien Rd. Fairborn, where a funeral will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 12:00 P.M., Pastor Lonnie Bocook and Pastor Joe Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow at the Darby Family Cemetery, Xenia OH. Arrangements in care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn.
