Michael "Scotty" White, age 55 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday May 29, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. He was surrounded by his children, his wife Kim, and all of his siblings, for several days, until he gave way to go from this life to the next. He was born October 26, 1963 in Dayton, the son of the late Millard Jerome and Patricia B. (McLoughlin) White. Mike proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps and was a self-employed skilled contractor as the owner and operator of White's Complete Remodeling. He was a Past Master of Dayton Lodge #147 F&AM and was a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Matthew White. Survivors include his wife, Kim; children, David, Laura, Megan, Jherri, Beau; grandchildren, Dresden, Anja, Freja, Zenja; siblings, Sharon, Mark, Kelly; nieces and nephews, Melissa, Jeremy, Michael James, Patricia, Chelsea, Matthew; and numerous extended family and friends. He shared laughter, forgiveness, and love while preparing his family and himself for his passing. The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 5, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. A memorial for Mike will begin at 6:30 P.M. with a Masonic service, followed by a memorial service officiated by Danny Jordan, and will conclude with military honors rendered by the USMC honor guard.
