Michael C. Edwards

Michael C. Edwards, age 75 of Fairborn, passed away Sunday July 2, 2023 at the Hospice of Dayton.  He was born February 17, 1948 in Palo Alto, CA, the son of the late Clifford E. and Mary Jane (Briggs).

Michael served his country in United States Air Force during Vietnam; and followed with employment as an estimator with Dayton Progress, retiring in 2015 after over 40 years of service.   A strong man of faith who loved the Lord, he participated with the BSF men’s class for many years.  In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing at Locust Hills Golf Course and was an avid bicyclist for many years, participating in many long-distance rides with the Dayton Cycling Club.  Above all else he was a family man who loved his wife, daughters, and grandchildren unconditionally.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary; two daughters, Michelle (Rob) Harbaum of Fairfield, Heather (Rich) McKinney of Miamisburg; four grandchildren, Allie (Sam) Tenbaum, Ashley Harbaum, Aiden Harbaum, Luke McKinney; and a sister, Kathy (Jon) Edwards.

A funeral service will be held on Monday July 10, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Chuck Shonkwiler officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service at the funeral home.  Entombment will follow at the Valley View Memorial Gardens mausoleum.
