Mary M. Curd

Mary M. Curd, age 88, of Fairborn, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. She was born in Garrett, KY; the daughter of the late Jack and Rhoda Fitch.

Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Curd, son, Kenneth Curd, and six siblings. She is survived by her son, Rodney (Julie) Curd; grandchildren, Megan (Matt) Allen, Jeremy (Ainjel) Curd, Stephen Curd, and Eric (Apryl) Curd; great-grandchildren, Noah Curd, Carter Allen, Landon Allen, Grady Allen, Jason Curd, Jaxon Curd, Ophelia Giannamore, Brooke Curd, and Markus Curd; and many extended family members. Mary was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother her entire life. She enjoyed singing in the church choir at First Baptist Church of Fairborn, where she was a member for over 60 years, and often helped in the church nursery. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Arkenburg-States VFW post 6861 and an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. She loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren were the joy of her life.

A funeral service will be held in her honor on Tuesday, July 23rd at 1:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton Yellow Springs Rd, Fairborn, Pastor James Clayton officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service.  Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband at Byron Cemetery.
