Mark J. Ballinger

Mark J. Ballinger, age 79 of Huber Heights passed away Tuesday February 22, 2022.  He was born August 10, 1942 in Bethel, Ohio, the son of Marvin and Velma (McKibben) Ballinger.  He served his country in the U.S. Navy.  He was a member of the Huber Heights Senior Center and YMCA.  Mark enjoyed bowling, volleyball and ping pong.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Eugenia; brother, Richard, and twin brother, Mack.  Mark is survived by two children, Sean (Sandra) Layne, Deanna Johnson; eight grandchildren, Savannah, Samantha, Derek, Dylan, Alyssa, Amanda, Kristen, Kayla; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Hailey, Aubrey; nieces and nephews, Lisa, Mary, Phil, Kim, Jackie, Lee; as well as extended family.  A funeral service with military honors will be held on Saturday February 26, 2022 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mark.
