Mandy Jane Hackney

Mandy Jane Hackney born August 17, 1922, in Pearly, Virginia, the daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia Coleman, went to be with the Lord peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on August 7, 2021.  She was employed at WPAFB in food service; and then went on to work beside her husband, owning and operating the Buckeye Trailer Court from 1962 until 1980. She was a long-standing member of the Northridge Freewill Baptist Church and also attended the First Church of God Tabernacle for many, many years.  She treasured the Lord and prayed daily for her family to accept HIM too.  She loved working in her garden, going on cruises, going to Disney World with all her Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great- Great Grandchildren.  She loved visiting Colorado, Florida and Alabama.  The Fairborn downtown Christmas tree was donated by her in 2020 for everyone to enjoy.  She was preceded in death by her Husband, Verlin Harold Hackney; Son, Willie "Billy" Thacker; Brothers: Jonah Coleman, Bert Coleman, Virgil Coleman, Sisters:  Larnie Marsden and Myrtle Stiltner. Survivors include her daughters: Oma Gail Hackney, Ruby Badillo(Bruno), Judy Hobson(Ben) Grandchildren:  Lowell Keeton, Tina Keeton Stamper(Rick), Howard Doran Vail (Cindy) , Michelle Thacker and Amanda Badillo Perry (Heith), Great Grandchildren:  Jennifer Cooper Skean (Jason), Samantha Cooper (Jared), Isabelle Vail, Brandon Badillo Dakota Prater and Teyha Vail, Great-Great Grandchildren: Ashton Whitaker (Eric), Kara Devlin (Darrin), Lillian Cooper, Taylor Lawler and Zaiden Lawler.  A funeral service will be held on Friday August 13, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Steve Nickels officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.
