Lucille Mae Warden passed away Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022 at Day Springs Nursing Home in Enon, Ohio. She was 93 years of age. She was born December 22, 1928 in Hamilton, Ohio to George F. and Carrie M. (Will) Wendling. In 1937, she was placed in the Ohio Soldiers and Sailors Orphans Home in Xenia, Ohio. She much enjoyed the home during her stay there until she was 18. She talked about the good times and the hard times but always felt it was the best time of her life before marriage. She was a member of the Association of Ex Pupils.
On February 16, 1952 she married Thomas A. Warden in Dayton, Ohio.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom, sister Florence Glock, brothers Lawrence, George, John, Edward and Robert. She was also preceded in death by four children; Richard T. Warden, Deborah A. Khammari, Lloyd B. Warden and Jack F. Warden.
Lucille is survived by her sons, Horace (Buck) Q. Warden of Kettering, Ohio and Melvin (Mel) D. Warden and wife Geraldine (Paige) of Pascagoula, Mississippi; daughters Irene D. Warden of Cookeville, Tennessee and Darlene L. Seibert and husband Wayne of Fairborn, Ohio.
She was a busy woman with 8 children, a husband and house to care for, and still worked an assortment of jobs including a newspaper counselor, store clerk and housekeeping services for motels and private homes. She was a strong, caring woman and would do anything for her children.
Her grandchildren - Grandsons: Benjamin R. (Ben) Warden or Enon, Ohio; Christopher T. Warden and wife Michelle L. (Carmody) of The Woodlands, Texas; Kyle M. Warden of Kettering, Ohio; Ramzi R. Khammari of Boulder, Colorado; Jonathon R., Alan T. Seibert of Fairborn, Ohio, Brian F. Seibert and wife Lacey Rose, Piqua, Ohio and Daniel Seibert of Kettering, Ohio and Granddaughter Sarah Kate Mae Warden.
Her great-grandchildren; Joseph, Lillian and James Warden of The Woodlands, Texas; Morgan Seibert of Kettering, Ohio; Sherry Seibert of Piqua, Ohio; Jeremy Seibert of Piqua, Ohio; Jacob Seibert of Piqua, Ohio,
Her great-great-grand-daughter Mya Seibert of Piqua, Ohio
And many friends – especially Carol Smith of Fairborn, Ohio
She was a member of the Central Avenue Church of Christ for over 40 years. She loved church and the people she grew to know.
Family will receive friends Thursday, January 6, 2022 from noon to 2 pm (EST) at Central Avenue Church of Christ, 922 South Central Avenue, Fairborn, OH 45324.
Gravesite services will be at Holly Springs Church of Christ, 2464 Upper Hillham Highway, Livingston, TN 38580 on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from noon to 2pm (CST).
