Lorna Arlene (Hogue) Stegner

Lorna Arlene (Hogue) Stegner, age 93 of Fairborn, passed away January 5, 2018.  She was born December 22, 1924 in Woodsfield, OH, the daughter of the late Forrest S. and Nina (Petty) Hogue.  She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Fairborn, as well as the Order of Eastern Star Aero Chapter 536, Fairborn Senior Center, and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.  Lorna was employed at Headquarters Air Material Command during WWII.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward; a daughter, Sandra Carol; three brothers, Norman, Leland, Forrest, a sister, Lucille Payne.  Lorna is survived by a son, Dennis (Chris) Stegner of Springfield; three step-grandsons, Jim Mayrer of Dayton, David (Melissa) Mayrer of Columbus, Dr. Richard (Cathy) Mayrer of Medford, Wisconsin;  seven step-great-grandchildren, Arabella, Bridget, Gigi, Adam, Jack, Seth, Beck; sister, Mavis Kochendorfer of Kettering; brother, Dalton of Woodfield, oh.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. at Trinity United Church of Christ, 821 N. Central Ave., Fairborn, Pastor Gene Cline officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of an Eastern Star service at 11:45 A.M. at the church.  Burial will be at the Byron Cemetery.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ.
