Lois J. Kirkham-Rumbaugh

Lois J. Kirkham-Rumbaugh, age 81 of Springfield, passed away Friday March 30, 2018 at the Patriot Ridge Community.  She was born August 22, 1936 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Isaac Thomas and Mary Eliza (Folly) Tyree.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her second husband, Ralph in 2016; a son, John Kirkham, Jr. in 1990; eight brothers, Charles, Harry, Marion, Carl, Norman, Raymond, Paul, Hap; and a sister, Ellen.  She is survived by three children, Michael (Melissa) Kirkham of Enon, Karen (Dave) Anderson of Fairborn, Cynthia Kirkham Humphrey of Yellow Springs; her first husband, John Kirkham, Sr. of Medway; six grandchildren, Brandon, Stacy, Harley, Matthew, Whitney, Amanda; eleven great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday April 3, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 4, 2018 at 11:00 A.M., Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating.  The family will also receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Wednesday.  Burial will follow at the Byron Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
