Linda R. Wood

Linda R. Wood, age 76 of Huber Heights, passed away Monday December 27, 2021 at the Miami Valley Hospital.  She was born May 7, 1945 in Pasadena, CA, the daughter of the late Kenneth G. and Renee (Rasmussen) Falkner.

Linda was a woman of faith and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Huber Heights.  She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them as well as cooking for them.  Her other hobbies included quilting, crocheting, and being a seamstress; also, reading, singing, and traveling the world with her husband.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by twin sons, Jared Douglas and Corey Bowen in 1972; and a sister, Lisa Falkner.  Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Douglas; three daughters, Miesha Renee Sanders, Becket Denise (Kent) Wilson, Ginger Gayle Stroop; six grandchildren, Laney, Kyler, Nicholas, Mira, Ella, Matthew; a great-granddaughter, Alvie; brother, Dennis (Lori) Falkner; niece, Kenda (Soren) Laney; and a nephew, Chayton Falkner.  Family members serving as pallbearers will be Kent Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Kyler Wood, Jake Boldman, and Mike Brady.

A funeral service will be held on Friday December 31, 2021 at 12:00 noon at The Church of Latter-day Saints, 5750 Shull Rd., Huber Heights, Ohio, Bishop Jim Guy officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service at the church.  Additional visitation, service, and burial will be held at Gillies Funeral Home in Brigham City, Utah. Visitation Thursday January 6, 2022 from 6-8 PM, and Friday January 7, 2022 from 10 AM until start of service at 12 noon.  Burial to follow at Brigham City Cemetery.
