Linda Mae Thompson

Linda Mae Thompson, age 67 passed away Saturday October 26, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born February 15, 1957 in West Liberty, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Henry and Lillian (Moore) Elliott.  Linda was an animal lover; enjoyed sewing, listening to music and gardening.  Spending time with family was most important to her.  She had a strong Christian faith and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Joseph Thompson; two granddaughter, Misty Thompson, Abigale Thompson; two brothers, Donnie Elliott and Allen Elliott.  Linda is survived by her two loving daughters, April Lynn Thompson (Franklin Rinehart), Dawn (Shawn) Terry; two sons, Preston Joseph Thompson (Brittany O’Dell), Jacob Lee (Kayla) Thompson; brother, Ricky Elliott; sister, Brenda (Robert) Riggsby; eleven grandchildren, Joey (Ashley), Lillian, Adrianna, Scott (Jenna), Gavin, Daniel, Alyssia, Julian, Jolynn, Miles, Avery; six great-grandchildren, Kayden, Bentley, Grason, Elijah, Oakley; Scarlett; close friends, Jami and Brandon “Chops”; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.  A funeral service will be held on Friday November 1, 2024 at 12:00 noon at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor Buck Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.  Linda will be laid to rest at Byron Cemetery next to her husband.
